Sarkozy overheard telling Obama that Netanyahu is a liar

Well, what else is new?

Don't forget Netanyahu's 57 standing ovations when he addressed the US Congress. It's obvious the Israel lobby has totally corrupted the US Congress. Israeli expansionism is the core root problem of political instability in today's world - fueling islamic extremism.

Now Iran has the bomb.

If history repeats itself, its thanks to Netanyahu and the right-wing jerks who support him.

Hong Kong Airport selling Shark Fin Soup

photograph from Wikipedia
I'm not a big fan of Greenpeace after what they did to Paul Watson, BUT

I was shocked when I flew through Hong Kong and found three restaurants INSIDE the terminal that were openly selling Shark Fin Soup.

It is outrageous that the Hong Kong government allows this at all,
anywhere in the Territory.

It MUST be outlawed in China as well.

Let's see - the Western Black Rhino is extinct, all other Rhino species expect to reach extinction in the next five years. Tigers are extinct in 99% of their previous range - hey guys........... (Ed. - expletives removed)

(Ed. - did you know that Disneyland Hong Kong was originally going to sell Shark Fin Soup?)

The Black Western Rhino is now extinct

All other species are given no more than five years more.
(CNN 15/11/11)

Rhino Horns have NO medicinal value BUT like Shark Fin and Tiger Penis Soup, Chinese 'medicine' is killing our planet. (my posting 24/10/10)

If we can invade Iraq and Afghanistan why can't we put our men in uniform to protect the Rhinos and Tigers? A lot safer and a more noble cause?

Answer: Dick Cheney and Halliburton because they haven't found out how to make money from these causes...

Luteolin

Remember to eat your green bell and hot chilli peppers.
Research shows that they’ll help you to remember in return.

A 2010 University of Illinois study funded by the National Institutes of Health found that luteolin, a super-nutrient that had already been documented as having anti-inflammatory effects in the body, can also reduce brain inflammation and reverse age-related memory deficits by directly blocking the release of inflammatory molecules in the brain.

It’s common knowledge that antioxidants reduce inflammation in the body and that inflammation is the cause behind much illness, including many auto-immune diseases. Inflammation in the brain seems to play a major role in age-related memory loss

The University of Illinois study suggests that luteolin acts directly on the immune cells in the brain and spinal cord (known as microglial cells), reducing their production of inflammatory cytokines in the brain, small proteins that affect communication between and behavior of cells. Luteolin’s effect in decreasing the release of these proteins helps protect and, according to lead researcher Rodney Johnson, “allows working memory to be restored to what it was at an earlier stage.” (Journal of Nutrition,October 2010.)

Here is a list of luteolin food sources:
          - green bell peppers
          - artichokes
          - blueberries
          - hot green chile peppers
          - celery hearts
          - thyme
          - chamomile tea
          - carrots
          - olive oil
          - peppermint
          - rosemary
          - parsley
          - basil

All in all, aren’t we getting the picture that the powerful role nutrition plays in our health can’t be overstated, and that it’s hard to go wrong with ample daily servings of well-prepared, pesticide-free, fresh produce?

Gabrielle Clifford Shooting

American is no longer the America I know - when I grew up the Constitution and Bill of Rights meant something.  Compassion for those less fortunate was a calling.  The rich carried their load instead of getting out of paying their fair share.  There was no Fox News and no Tea Party - who were driven to hatred and avoiding universal health care by rich Black-hearted special interests.  Sarah Palin would have been a kook, but that is all that has changed.

I'm an atheist but also a compassionate citizen, a “helper” and fundamentalist when it comes to American values, our founding fathers, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  Instead of supporting right-wing interests, let's review our basic values, and return to an America of compassion, not self-interest.

I’ve never met a Tea Party or Sarah Palin supporter, or an opponent of health care, who is literate with the Bill of Rights.  Let’s start each day by reciting a passage from Congress to the grammar school Pledge of Allegiance.  Maybe when people know our founding comments, we can learn to live together.
