insecure little boys and their barbaric pursuits

As a lifelong wildlife rehabber I have always hated hunters - sexually insecure little boys who call their barbaric pursuit "sport". This jerk actually had $50,000 to burn on a "hunting permit". I hope his patients have the integrity to find an honest, cheaper dentist. 

The only "sport" in hunting is if hunters are issued licenses to hunt each other. The World IQ will increase and hostility level will decrease. Hunters are sexually insecure home invasion artists who think it is "sport" to engage in an unfair fight. 

If this jerk has $50,000 to shoot a lion I hope his patients get wise and find an honest dentist who doesn't overcharge so he can pretend he is "a man". I truly hope this guy - and all hunters - start hunting each other - eliminate these jerks in a fair fight. There is no "sport" in hunting - just human monsters. 

America has a serious gun problem because of a twisted First Amendment clause, which says "a well organized militia" has the right to bear arms. It's about time the shooting stops and people find more peaceful pursuits.

The tsunami vs human development?

This was something that was very different and totally unexpected, we had a phone call from John Gray of the now World Renown John Gray Sea Canoe and he wanted us to meet someone special. This was certainly something different - it was down a road that I passed everyday on the way to work for the last 15 years!!

There was currently a construction of a new pier at the end of the road! 

The home that was at the end looked like it was amongst other homes but not all of them looked after and in one piece anymore! 

There was some wonderful examples of grafitti in the house next door but I do not think it was done by Alex Face...

Then the owner came out of the small house and we were quickly shepherd in to the small room and immediately we were taken by the simplicity of it all - no strings attached...

Then out popped 3 baby otters!!!

Clearly used to attention the baby otters were a real pleasure to run around us.

Taking this opportunity I went for a walk along the low tide at the adjacent beach -

 wonderfully simple!

Then out came the python - what a marvellous experience...

The one thing that I feel is that this mans life here is under threat because of the building of the new pier - do you know how to help this man and his family?

He shows John Gray that he has survived the tsunami 
but will he survive human development?

The Starlight kayaking tour was one of the best tour experiences I have had and I work in the travel industry. 

Even my 17 and 15 teenage boys loved the whole day.
This was a truly all inclusive KAYAKING tour, no gouging, free DVDS at the end of the day.

GUIDES:
Knowledgeable, charming and cheeky. Charlie (local Thai guide) was our paddle man and had a thorough knowledge of the islands and the ecosystems. John Gray also supports the locals by employing local fisherman.
Throughout the day our local boat guide gave dissertations and running commentaries which were highly informative and sprinkled with humorous anecdotes.

OWNER
John Gray joined our boat and while we paddled around the Islands (not James Bond) he was picking up rubbish that washed up onto the shore, John mentioned that he has collected just under 10.000 bags of rubbish in approx 20 years.

FOOD AND DRINKS.
Fabulous.
Bottled water provided. Iced tea and cordial with meals.
The lunch and dinner was delicious,
Lunch was vegetarian with spring rolls, noodles with egg, salad
Dinner was Tom yum soup chicken or prawn, fresh fish, Prawns, Massaman curry, deep fried chicken and stir fried veggies, noodles, fried rice and fresh fruit. Wow!
The crew provided extra chilli as the meals were made less spicy to cater for western tastes.
Afternoon tea with the yummiest Banana Cake.

SCENERY:
Breathtaking and unique. TpDdlig apund, under and in the islands, Bat cave, Oyster cave and Hong.

WILDLIFE:
We saw monkeys on the islands that weren't aggressive, (their not fed). Mudskippers, sea eagles, hornbills, Hawks and egrets.

The night kayaking Loi Kratong ceremony made it culturally special.

Thanks John and the crew our family including queen Elizabeth ;) will never forget this magical experience.

Wildlife does not belong in captivity

Humans can be so cruel to animals. Wildlife does not belong in captivity - unless they are being rehabilitated in preparation for release. Thanks to PETA for this chimp sanctuary - and remember that ALL cetaceans belong in the sea - not in some constructed aquarium.
