World Economic Forum Report Cites - “Widespread Public Mistrust”

Those of us with brains saw this coming in the 60's
- it should come as no surprise.

The big surprise is that in their pursuit of money, the rich did not see the edge of the cliff.  We really need a new ethic so read Thorsten Veblen and John Kenneth Galbraith - among the living Jeffrey Sachs makes the most sense.

Human attitude needs a new ethic, where a person's value is not measured by their wallet, but their compassion.  All our current woes prove is that we still live by Veblen's "tribal mentality".

It's OK to work hard to become wealthy but once a person makes more than they can possibly spend it's time to show compassion for those less fortunate. I worked with two Fortune 500 CEO's who lived this ethic - they lived wonderful lives and will always be remembered in positive ways.

The greedy die and become forgotten dust.
