Human Resources

A key to business that John Gray shared with me last week is the care taken of the staff.

Respecting Human Resources is the key to the success in my company.  Many of the people who work for me still work for me - the staff will support the business if the business recognises the staff opinion's.

For other businesses the Thai staff do not share an opinion - which means that changes are very rare.

Communication and sharing the ideas are the step forward BUT some businesses do not like to do this - because this will lead to changes in their opinions. We take care of our staff and I believe that this is what you should do - work as a team NOT management through fear.

Thailand needs to learn and share ideas BUT unfortunately this is not how business in Thailand works - people try to gauge what they think that they should do NOT have an opinion.

The future is coming but the culture is not embracing the change.

See you on the water, Ling Yai (Thai for 'Big Monkey') AKA John Caveman Gray

  1. Note from John:

Company value is a three-legged stool – finances, real assets, human resources.

The tyrant employers of Asia still haven’t learned they win big when they treat the staff with respect. Good will cannot be quantified on a spread sheet.
